Most of us don't feel that great when we swim - for almost all triathlete's it's the leg they least like - but we can at least get in the water and give it a go.

It's in this spirit that I am looking for people interested in doing the 1km or 2km Cole Classic Swim on 4 Feb 2012 in Manly as part of the Can Too team. Can Too is the "sporting arm" of the Cure Cancer Australia Foundation. In a similar fashion to the Bilbys Novice Program, people sign onto a Can Too event to take on a challenge they are keen to achieve. Participants then raise money for Cure Cancer and in return get their coaching provided to help them achieve their goal. Beacuse we aren't part of the squads training for this event, we are not required to fundraise, but Can Too will set us all up with a fundraising page if you choose to.


Can Too hope to set up a Canberra base in the future, but until then, I will be happy to coach sessions for this event (starting 28 November) if you would like to participate. Joining fee is $100 and includes your Can Too swimmers!

Sadly most of us know someone close who has been affected by Cancer if we haven't had our own brush with this diease. If you'd like to help find a cure, why not step up and do the Cole Classic??

Swimming may not be your favourite thing, but at least you can do it - those hooked up to a Chemo machine can't and may never get the chance to go for a swim ever again.

There is also the Sun Run 7km race on the day before the Cole Classic, so why not make a weekend of it!!
