Oh and I went mountain biking on Sunday, it was doable (taking it easy) thus
I can return to Friday morning rides this week. Woohoo.
See You

Dear All
A quick reminder that the CORC AGM is on tonight, 7.30 at the Ainslie
Football Club
Lakeside MTB Crit this weekend - CORC will be hosting a MTB Crit this
Saturday 17 May as part of Community Day during the "Dreams on Wheels"
Exhibition - The Official Opening of the Royal Danish Embassy. The race will
be held at Commonwealth Place and will consist of the normal crit format and
categories. The 600m course will consist of many interesting elements
including walkways, an overpass and grass slopes. Something unusual indeed!
This event will showcase MTB racing to the community with a fantastic
spectacle of fun and friendly competition. Racing will commence at 10am with
Rego from 9:30am onwards. Entry is free to CORC members. Non-members will
require a Day License ($15) Races will follow a similar format to the
regular summer crits with Juniors first on course. Come and be part of this
rare opportunity to race on the grand foreshores of Lake Burly Griffin in
the heart of the Parliamentary Triangle. Other non-CORC run activities
during the day will include demonstrations from Unicycle riders competing in
the Unicycle World Championships and Cycle Skill clinics. Call Ben on 0409
079 147 for any further queries.

More information soon
The 24 Hour Race - Canberra Off-Road Cyclists Australian 24 hour Mountain
Bike Championships are on again for the 10th consecutive year (we are
rebuilding our website to celebrate and expect to launch it very soon). The
10th anniversary race will once again be held at the beautiful Stromlo
Forest Park (home of the 2009 World Mountain Bike Championships and some of
the sweetest trails this side of the equator) on the second weekend in
October - that's the 11th and 12th - under what will undoubtedly be a
spectacular full moon. So please lock in that date!
Everything you loved about last years race will be back and we have one or
two course surprises for you to ensure that your grin from last year wont
disappear! We will get the word out about the website when it goes live but
keep looking back here regularly to ensure you don't miss out on what is
again going to be another spectacular event!
Cheers
Anthony Burton CORC President
