INTEGRITY & INCLUSIVITY

We value inclusivity, integrity and diversity.

Over the past 30 years, Bilbys Triathlon Club has prided itself on being a friendly and welcoming club. At Bilby’s we believe sport has an important role to bring people together, regardless of their background, identity, or origin. We are proud to foster a community that celebrates diversity and inclusivity, where everyone is welcomed with open arms and valued for who they are.

Our club is not just about the triathlons; it's about creating a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals from all walks of life can come together.

We recognise the richness that diversity brings to our community. Whether you identify as LGBTQI+, come from diverse ethnic backgrounds, or bring a unique perspective to the table, there is a place for you at Bilbys.

From training programs to social events that celebrate our differences, we strive to ensure that everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to be the selves.

If you're looking for a sports club that champions diversity, fosters inclusivity, and welcomes individuals from all walks of life, then look no further.

GOVERNANCE

Bilbys also recognises that as a club it needs to operate in an ethical manner and follow governance practices within its operations. Day to day operations of the club are governed by its constitution, and annual elections are held for the Committee that oversees the operations of the club.

ATHLETE WELFARE

Ensuring the well-being and safety of athletes is paramount and we conduct ourselves in line with the National Integrity Framework for sport via our connections with AusTriathlon; the governing body for triathlon in Australia.

The National integrity Framework is a suite of policies which sets out rules for unacceptable behaviour in our sport and how complaints about breaches of these rules are managed. It is a aimed at upholding the values of fairness, transparency, and honesty in sport and provides mechanism to handle complaints

Details on the policies within the National Integrity Framework are available at https://www.triathlon.org.au/integrity/

Bilbys committee members Millie Drew and Josh Beck are responsible for athlete welfare within Bilbys, which may include education programs, mental health support, and measures to prevent abuse and harassment within the club.

Should concerns arise at any time within Bilbys please contact either Millie Drew or Josh Beck.  Matters will be treated in a confidential manner.
